In Canada, we'd just call them "bars" or "squares".
The recipes I gave you in my earlier post ... double cake mix would make a two 9" round layers or a 9x13" cake. I gave our standard soda pop sizess. Cans of pie filling would be 19 oz. ... slightly more or less would probably work just fine.

You mentioned a Christmas CAke recipe ... would you please share it with us?

Here's a "slice" recipe that I just saw last night. I haven't made it yet, but I've picked up many good ones in the past from this blog, so I can somewhat recommend it, based on past results ....
