I had not sewing room for years, I did not like having to pick up everything then drag it all out when I started back, sometimes it kept me from sewing.. I have a computer in the basement with a tv and my hubby stays down there alot. I am always afraid for my grandkids and greatgrandkids to be around all of my sharp objects. But hey if it works for you go for it. You have to be comfortable in able to get you sewing groove on....
