Another possibility ... all the "Mix in a Jar" recipes ... you make up your own mix, then store in a preserving jar, until you want to make it.

The good thing about these are that you have direct control over the ingredients, and then on baking day, use it just like a regular store bought mix.

One year for Christmas I did up a case of mason jars, something different in each, for a gift. The recipient was delighted!
