I'm in El Campo, Texas and our local quilt shop organizes 3 retreats a year in Wharton, TX. Wharton is about 40 minutes from Sugar Land - down the Southwest Frwy (59) towards Victoria. They do one in January, one in June, and one in July. The June one is fulll, but there were some July openings last I heard. Open enrollment. Very losely organized. Monday - Wednesdays for around $300. Check out there site and put it on your "check it out" for a low investment option. (I think $300 is high, but ... lower than other choices!)
