I'm a blood handler for our local blood bank, and frequently get spots on my pants or shirt. I take them ALL out with either cold water or hydrogen peroxide. Also at home I've used just plain moistened meat tenderizer.
Never, ever use hot water on blood stains. I always wash everything, except for stained whites that need bleaching, in cold water. They always come out clean.
