I have my grandmothers quilt that she made in the late 20 and early 30. It is in really bad shape but I can't bring myself to do anything to it as it will not be hers than. So it hangs over my quilt rack. The best part of this is that I have a picture of her standing in front of this quilt when she got it done.
I have one of my granny's quilts, too & I also can't work on it. Not because I feel guilty but because it's so fragile. It's a real neat pattern (one I've never seen before) & I keep thinking I'll graph it out & make a replica. But then life gets in the way... *sigh*... enjoy your heirloom!
