My first quilt was a nine patch. It took me forever. Each block was different fabric so I couldn't do strip stitching. I was so proud of that quilt. It took me so long to finish it. I think your "first" quilt will be one that you will be proud of forever. I love that you used all little boy fabrics for your stepson. He must think you are something special!
