I place the cut pieces in labeled ziplock bags and place the whole works in a rubbermaid clear plastic cake container. I usually will make copies of the pattern so that I can make notes on it and have it at a manageable size (that way I don't mess up the original). If I'm working on the project, the container sits out on my ironing board or cutting table. Then I'll remove the pieces I need and the corresponding pattern sheet. I then will place the blocks back into the container or design wall. No digging around for the pieces I need. I can misplace something without even getting up from my chair.
