Shown is the beginnings of my restoration of Singer cabinet. I began by restoring the dust cover underneath the machine. As you you can see the laminate is seperating though all the wood is still there except one small segment (Easy fix on that part). I didn't want to tear wood apart so I lifted it as far as I could and put glue on wood to reset the first layer of laminate (it has three layers that and all have seperated and I have to glue one layer at a time). You can see me elorbate system for weighting down until glue has dried. I put a piece of parchment paper in between so glue wouldn't stick to bags.
I used blue "painters tape" to hold the edges. (Pull it as tight as you can). Relax, do something else until the glue is dry. (depends on humidity). BTW I used "Elmer's" craft/school glue.
