One of my favorites to store pieces in while sewing, is the cardboard boxes from the supermarket. When they cut around the boxes while stocking shelves; they leave a tray that is 2" or 3" deep. These can be stacked with a complete project. They are free!
Then again, I store some in the original bag from the quilt shop. I have a few projects going...Ha. A Few means maybe ten or more!
