You know, it might not be directed toward you. I worked in a place one time where if you had a good comfortable chair and you had to take leave, someone else with a poor chair would switch chairs on you. If a person left employment, their chair would be taken by a current employee rather than letting a new employee have the good chair. It's amazing how much "chair envy" is out there :>)
