A few rhubarb fans out there. I was very fortunate that in our family only my mother and I liked rhubarb. My grandparents grew it and when a pie came our way it only had to be shared two ways
My grandmother made the best rhubard custard pie with meringue - and her meringue was always fluffy and perfect with just that kiss of tiny sugar beads. In 59 years I have never been able to make meringue like that.
