The feed dogs on the older Elnas can be coverd with a plate that snaps over them. It has a single hole for the needle
to go through. That works on my two forty two year old Super 62 C and Super 64. If you want to locate one, try

I can't seem to find one but, thought I'd ask and see if anyone else knows more. I have an elna and really enjoy FMQ but my stiched are way to close together (I think) and thinking this might help.
