I think you are right...an industrial...early model, but an industrial. I had a Juki upholstery machine made in 1975...it had a foot pedal, not unlike the treddle. you push forward to go and back on the heel to help stop the machine. That is a powerful motor, and if you just stop...the machine runs on for a good 5-10 stitches. Nice of the neighbor to give it to you.
