I took a class to applique a pillow, at a quilt shop when I was living in Maui, and bought a Hawaiian Applique book by Vicky Fleming, that I've been using since I've been back in CA. I started a traditional Hawaiian quilt while I was still there, and I'm working on it now. I thought the pattern would be the hardest, but after I got that done, I was hoping the applique wouldn't be too difficult to finish. I struggled, but I finally finished it & now I'm quilting...one hoop at a time. It seems like it will take forever. I hope I can finish it, even though it will definitely look like an amateur quilt.

www.prqc.com. This is the first time I've heard of anybody else making a Hawaiian quilt since I've been back on the Mainland, over a year now. Good luck, and let me know how you're doing.
