Default Gigantifooticus and other strange feet.

I have come across a presser foot I've named Gigantifooticus. Here's a pic of it mounted on the machine with a normal straight stitch foot beside it:

It is not marked as to who made it, but it is well made. Not a stamped piece of junk.
It works superb for climbing over multiple layered seams of denim. Those big curved toes just flow right over the humps.
Anybody got any idea who might have made it or what it's intended purpose is?

Here is a foot made by Singer. Part #121719 SIMANCO U.S.A. :

It looks like kind of like an adjustable zipper or cording foot, but I've never seen one in any pics with descriptions.

Any ideas?
