Hi!
Fairly new to quilting, but have been doing heirloom sewing, applique, and even cutwork before using an embroidery machine. Have a Pfaff 2170. I quilt as you go, quilt in the hoop, and embroider the blocks.
I don't follow fashion and tend to do things my way. I sew most of my own shirts. I've been able to wear pants and my own designer shirts wherever I've worked.
I don't care for the way quilts are bound now - my grandmother did quilts that had a far wider binding that looked more like a border. I have not seen anything like that for years. It looked more like blanket binding applied to a quilt. Would like to figure that one out.
I have 3 cats - a Siamese, a Snowshoe, and a Feral - all are nuts and I love them dearly. We did have ferrets. My daughter kept her ferrets in the sewing room and I had their company for years.
I also like astronomy (have telescopes), technology, and photography.
I've seen some answers to questions I've had for years already.
