Default Quilt Symposium of Alabama - June 7 - 9, 2012
The Evening Star Quilt Guild is hosting the11th Annual Quilt Symposium of Alabama in Hoover, AL, June 7 - 9th, at theBumpus Middle School, 6055 Fleming Parkway. The symposium features 3 days ofclasses by 7 nationally known teachers. <o></o>
Teachers this year are DianneS. Hire, Elly Sienkiewicz, Irena Bluhm, Karen K. Stone, Kim Brackett, Pat Sloan,and RaNae Merrill.<o></o>

It will also include a quilt show andvendor mall for shopping. The quilt show will have a special showing of Quiltsof Valor, quilts which have been made to send to injured soldiers. In addition,there will be a display of quilts that have been made to cover the 180 plusbeds in the Robert L Howard State Veterans' Home which will openthis summer in Pell City.<o></o>

There will also be a silent auction tobenefit the Epilepsy Foundation. <o></o>

The quilt show and vendor mall will be openThursday, June 7 from 1 - 5:30, Friday, June 8 from 8:00 - 5:00 with additionalshopping from 6:30 - 8:00 and Saturday from 8 - 5. Three day unlimitedadmission is $7.<o></o>

Classes and registration information on theclass offerings can be found at QSAI.org. Quilt registration is open until May 3. Class registration is open until the day of the class or until the classfills.<o></o>
