The older I get, the more bewildered I am by how much importance most people attach to having oodles of money.

Mr. Heile - asked us when we were in Junior High (around 1956 or so) if we though we were "rich" or "poor"

As compared to Bill Gates, most of were poor.

Then he went on to ask us:

How much food can you eat at one time?
How many beds can you sleep in at one time?
How many cars can you drive at one time?
How many pairs of shoes can you wear at one time?

He went on to tell us that money is a tool - that most of us can't eat, wear, drink, or drive actual cash or coins.

It's what we can do with money that matters - not the actual paper money or coins.
