My sister brought these two table toppers to be quilted when she came to visit over spring break. She's been bit by the quilting bug too. Hehehe.... On their first night here, we met at our favorite LQS before they even made it out to my house. She was a bit overwhelmed until she decided to pick out some batik fat quarters and then some more yardage of batiks. That's when my 11 year old spoke up that she wanted to make a bright, neon quilt. We stocked up for her at Joanns later that week. Her quilt is in another post, but she is the girl in the far background.
My sister's table toppers were small with a lot of seams to work with, but I really wanted to do something other than an all over design. Some designs worked and some were a learning experience.
She is keeping one and giving the other to a friend whose husband passed away. Fortunately for me, she is letting me borrow the one she's keeping until her next visit. It looks perfect on my red coffee table!
