Hi Glenda - in New York City there's only one quilt shop, The City Quilter on 25th Street, where the feeling of "I want everything" is likely to come over you. Streets in New York are mostly numbered so it's easy to get around. Avenues are numbered also (2nd, 3rd etc.) but there are a few with names. Any city map will help you. There are wonderful trimming shops on Avenue of the Americas (same as 6th Avenue) in the 30's and a lot of excellent fabric shops around 40th and 41st off 8th Avenue, mainly for apparel fabric but some quilting fabric available. Not knowing your preference, you might love all the unusual and exotic fabrics in that area. I used to have a website that would be helpful and will try and find it.
