Default Spray Basting - Guidance needed

Okay. I pieced the McCalls Mystery quilt. I am doing a combination of stitch in the ditch and hand quilting it. Then I made three sections - one pin basted, one hand-basted and the third I want to spray baste (seeing which one is the best for me). However, I need your guidance. All the warnings on the June Taylor can scare me to death. Are the warnings only when you actually spray it on or do the warnings (well ventilated area, don't breathe it in, cancer...etc) or do they apply to the entire time you are hand-quilting it? I have a well-ventilated area to spray it on but am concerned if actually hand quilting it is dangerous. Thank you for any help you can give me. I will post pictures when I get it done.
