You did a great job on matching the colors she likes. I'd do a pattern that includes the large blocks she was drawn to. Pick out something you'd like to make and enjoy the process. She probably is not aware of what is involved in making a quilt or in the difference between what she saw in the store and what you do. Maybe this quilt will be the beginning of her love of quilts.
