I think it is a compliment that she said "I'll leave it up to you." Even though she has not met you she recognizes that you know quilts! Your fabric choices are lovely. Sew it up into a pattern you want to make and go with it. If you enjoy what you are making they will love it! Just remember to post pictures for us to enjoy too.
