uh, don't you use your hands while "quilting" - cutting fabric, aligning to sew, guiding to sew, pinning, etc etc... sounds handmade to me
the sewing machine is a TOOL - granted a power tool - But still a tool, just like a needle, a pair of scissors - are you wanting to tear all pieces so you don't use any tools at all? in which case, do you for-go the needle?
if a carpenter uses a power saw, hammer, etc are you going to tell him he did not make something 'by hand'???
