Most Lone Star quilts I've seen lately are strip pieced ones. You work out your colour strata for the large diamond shapes. You then use the 60º? rule line to cut a strip at a time. There are many videos on the net for this method. I don't recall any plastic templates for rotary cutting individual diamond shapes but they may be out there. Back in the old days, if you wanted an individual template you cut it yourself from cereal box cardboard.
