I have a Katrina rescue that is part beagle...my son acquired her first...then she ended up with me(long story)!! She was quite a runner at the onset even with a fenced yard. Be careful! Her nickname was Houdini for a while!! Had to bail her out of the SPCA. She is 8yo now have had her for about 5 years. Nikki has turned into quite the princess! She's not overwt. LOVES her walks on a leash!! Adopts whatever animal is brought into the house. Basically has us wrapped around her little paw!! Good luck with your new addition!!
