If it's in a wooden case it's probably not a featherweight, or a 301, both of which are very lightweight and desirable for quilters. Some of the "portable" machines back then were very, very heavy, so if you're interested in the portability aspect you need to see how much the machine weighs. I don't think $100 is out of line for a (non-221, non-301)machine in good condition, but they are often available for much less. If by some chance it is a 221 (featherweight) or 301, I would jump at it.
