The cost then varies depending on what type of quilting design you want. It can range anywhere from $.01 per square inch for an overall meander to $.07 or more for heirloom quilting. In some areas of the country the prices are higher than in others, so that will have a bearing on it too. Unfortunately, there's really no way to say what a typical cost would be without knowing more about your quilt in particular.
