Sounds like my DH! Sometimes I get a little frustrated with his non attentive personality, but on the bright side, I never have to 'explain' my newest purchases. I have the 13" bailey on a start right grace frame (wish it would have been as great a buy tho!), and I love love love it. It definitely has it's limitations, but gets the job done, none the less.
