Default More of "WORK in PROGRESS" staining cabinet

I wanted to have the new veener look like the old finish as much as possible, so I looked closely at the finish that was already on the cabinet. Upon close observation, I noticed three different colors on the wood. Red, Yellow and Black.
I knew I would be unable to find a stain with those three colors in one can. So here is what I did.
Photo #1 I laid down a stain with red as it's base color. In this case Red Chesnut .I wiped off some after it penetrated the wood, but not all.
Photo #2... I the added a very dark color, Jacobean. Let it sit wipe it off.
Photo #3... I then added a third stain Special Walnut. Let it sit wipe it off.
This color looked pretty close to me . I'll let you decide in photo #4
H have re painted the cast iron base and soon I will re paint the gold?brass color bach on the logo.
I choose a color called Metalic Gold.
