OK, so these are not quilts... but this is what I did over the weekend - made 8 heavy duty aprons (twill) for the animal shelter where my DD is volunteering in San Bernadino this month as part of school. It's a huge shelter (about 1000 animals at any given time) that is very underfunded. The aprons allow workers & volunteers to carry leashes & treats around so they can bring out fur babies to show potential new owners. Apparently, some of the workers have gotten ringworm around their necks from hanging the leashes around their necks so the aprons help solve that. Hopefully they cheer the place up as well!
