Default "Once Upon a Time In My Garden" PP Block Swap with a "Twist"

Once Upon A Time in My Garden
6 ½” PaperPieced Block Swap with a “Twist”

This theme draws pictures in my mind of flowers, trees, fruits, veggies , even critters that we find in our gardens…water features, birds, butterflies, insects, statuary, etc. Anything we might find in our gardens, or our “wanna be garden. Let’s keep the backgrounds light.

Blocks will be grouped in sets of 6

You may make up to six sets or 36 blocks total to exchange. All blocks will be swapped. A limit of 6 blocks of any one design.

Block size is 6 ½” Keep the papers on!

Blocks must be constructed of prewashed 100% good cotton fabrics (no muslin, flannel, see through or poly blends) & have¼” seam allowances with no open areas or “holes” where fabric was not caught in a seam. This also includes tears, or cuts in fabrics and blocks. Please make blocks as you would want to receive yourself.

Here’s the Paper PiecedTwist!
You may also make up to 2 sets or 12 blocks of 3 ½” paper pieced blocks with the same garden theme if you like. These will only be swapped out with other 3 ½” paper pieced blocks. They are not part of the original swap, but are an additional swap or “twist”! Same rules apply…only one set of any one design, and if you join in the “Twist”, you must have different designs than the original 6 ½” Block Swap.

Packaging your blocksets
Each set of blocks needs to be enclosed in it’s own ziplock baggie. Package well and send your best method taking into account that the post office isn’t always gentle on packages.

Labeling
Every block needs to labelled in some fashion, with your real name and user name included. This is to make it easier for me to swap your blocks efficiently, and so those who get your blocks can acknowledge and thank you.

Mailing
Mail the best method you choose. The post office system isn’t always gentle and sometimes packages arrive with tears in some envelopes, so take care in your packaging so I get everything you send to me. Please get delivery confirmation…this will allow you to track your package and know when it arrives. I will also notify you of it’s arrival.

I will furnish return envelope padded priority mailers. The cost is $5.30. A stamp is best, but I will accept well hidden cash also if you prefer. Please send a Priority Mail return label with your mailing information filled out as well. This will help me get these back to you quickly.

Signups will be open through July 31[SUP]st[/SUP] with a mail out deadline to me by August 15[SUP]th[/SUP]. Blocks will be swapped and mailed back to you as quickly as possible after blocks have been received.

Please pm me to sign up and let me know the # of sets you plan on making and if you're going to join in the "Twist" and indicate if you're making one or two sets for that. Include your real name as well.

All general rules for swaps are here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm.

Okay, let's have some fun!
