Ditto .. you would cut the strips and then add the squares to the end, like you would for making a snowball. It's all on a grid ... so use the measurements for your centre 9-patch squares and then your strips and snowball corners would be cut/sewn accordingly.

I like the block ... different colours than we'd often use and I particularly like that light batik/
