There aren't suppose to be quilting police on here but, I have seen and heard them. Use whatever you want, not every quilt is meant to be a heirloom quilt. I use whatever thread matches. I have no rayon thread, don't know anything about it. Connecting thread is now selling cones of polyester thread for quilting. I haven't bought any, as I have lots of thread.
