Agreed.....the fabrics work, there just isn't any contrast.....add a darker, solid fabric for sashing and I think you will be much happier with the quilt.....yes, it will be more work, but well worth it in the end.
There's no way on earth I'd rip that quilt apart. The "warm wishes" pattern is nice and doesn't need to be fixed.
