Nancylee - You will find that for every physical quilt block design, there may be several names. These names depend on region and time frame. Whether this is a "box" block or "eccentric star" block is irrelevant if you are looking to recreate this particular block. Here are a few links to direction for both. You will see that despite the fact the name is different they are the same physical block except for the size. That may be the key in this case, however I do pretend to know that much detail on the history of block names.

Your block is very pretty and you should be able to redo it with these directions.
