I have a tin lizzie 18LS and love it. I did have some problems with stitch regulator stopping in mid-stream. My dealer told me to put some sort of liquid carbon stuff on the rollers. That worked lovely. If that is your problem, I think we bought it at Lowe's where the cut the keys. Also, I agree that you need to tell her to use a battery backup with surge protector. We were told when ours was set up to make sure we had that. I have never had any problems with mine concerning electrical. Sorry you are having problems, they are great machines.
