Its a log cabin with the lights and darks of different widths. For instance, if you made the lights in a block about finished 1 inch wide, and the darks 1/2 inch wide (finished)... they form a curve in the block. Some of the blocks reverse that *wide/narrow & dark/light* assembly. Look close LOL.
Whether the small square in the center starts out light or dark also changes. ummmm you would need a design board and careful attention..... You could vary the # of rounds in each block, and colors of your choice, its still a log cabin.... Good Luck
