I made my DB (he is an over the road truck driver) a quilt a few years ago. It was really simple. It was a rail fence variation and had no matched points.

There are 2 strip sets. For example: white-blue-white and blue-white-blue.
Each row is made of a single color way with every other block set on it's side.
So, row 1 is W-B-W as follows
Horizontal-vertical-Horizontal-vertical-Horizontal-vertical-Horizontal
Row 2 is B-W-B as follows
vertical-Horizontal-vertical-Horizontal-vertical-Horizontal-vertical
