sorry, no pattern. i made it up. it's not difficult, but it's harder to explain. i measured the girth of the cup, created a fish that long, made fins and tails and inserted them. left an opening at the bottom which becomes the tab that connects to the mug rug. quilted in a sort of scale pattern. sewed 3 buttons on each side for eyes, tacked the corners of the mouth. attached fish to mug rug , first by belly tab, and then sewed the reverse of mug rug and batting, folding the fish so it doesn't get caught, turned right side out. sewed a spiral to quilt. hand tacked head and tail in place to fit mug, and left room for the handle between head and tail. that's the readers digest version.
