On the flying geese units, I've found that if I sew exactly ON the diagonal line (per the instructions), the unit tends to come out a shade too small. By the time the whole block is finished, it made a noticeable difference.

I started sewing a tiny bit to the outside of the diagonal line rather than directly ON it ... maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a millimeter ... and the units came out more accurately.
