Default Another binding question

I have a bl/wh quilt with red/white pinwheels. I want to make the binding in two colors but not one color on the front and one on the back. I've searched the archives for a tute on making a two color binding but to no avail. I want to make a binding with a very thin (almost cording) strip of red and the rest of the 2.5" binding in black. So, when you look at the quilt it will have the thin red and then black binding. Can anyone help me as to how to do this? I don't really want a thick red line just enough that it shows. I thought there was a tutorial on how to do this process but I can't find it with the searches that I've tried. Thanks for your help.
