yard sale rescue
My in-laws came to visit us and on sat my mother in law and I decided to head out early and yard sale. I really wanted to hit the mother lode in fabric like some of you ladys but that did not happen lol but while going past a very very small sale I thought I saw a quilt folded on a table and I told my MIL to stop and I was like a bee to honey going to that quilt. It was a very old and used grandmothers garden done all by hand and one of the fabrics eroded and I will applique over. The strange and confusing thing to me was the older lady who was selling it said it was her mothers and even had a note attached with a pin confirming mother made it ect... and I am thinking why? why?? I paid 25$ I will never understand selling a loved ones quilts or other hand made goods. I tried to tell the lady I would take good care of it but she just kinda shrugged.
