I'm thinking she either really needed the $, or like me she has no relatives interested in quilts. Hopefully, I will find good homes for my quilts so that they don't end up in a dumpster when my time is done. I have a number of hand embroidered quilt blocks made by my 87 yr. old aunt, and hand crochet doilies made by my grandmother in the early 1900's that I'm currently trying to find homes for. It is hard to let go of things made by relatives, but we can't take it with us & someone should be appreciating the beautiful hand work.
