There's a really wonderful pattern called "Book Club" in the Modern Quilt workshop book by Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr. If you want a picture of it, let me know and I'll take one with my phone and email it to you. If you don't have this book, you should get it--amazing patterns in it.
you can see pics of just about everything when you do an image google search. so many bookcase quilts out there. here is one made from
selvages. so nice.
