I made on out of 2 inch hexs while recouping from heart surgety 4 years go, but whn I put it together it juct wouldn't turn out square, thought I would make a jacket out of it, but could cut it up so after doing the frog stitch and puting it back together, it turned out beautiful, so this year am doing a 1 inch one, might turn out to be a able runner. LOL The way you squard it up is beautiful.
