Yes be sure you use the correct bobbins. I don't know about your machine but mine (12K) takes the Class 15 bobbin that Janome sells. It is a little different in size than the Singer ones. Your dealer will have them. As for your old bobbn thread just load it like it is a spool of thread and wind the new bobbins. Sometimes I don't have nice even bobbins so I rewind them that way.
