Wonderful video Joe. Like the others, I am anxiously awaiting the tutorial. I do like the test pad you are using on you bench.
When I first started messing with machines my wife pointed to a box of scraps. I ended up making a bunch of these two and three layer pads with more stitching than material. I was threwing them away, but my wife rescued them and we now use them for scrub pads, work pads and what not.
Now I use them to test machines. They are fun to make.
