It does have a very luxurious hand to it ... but once it is inside of the quilt .... you can't feel what you paid for... Silk is a wonderfully warm fiber.. but silk is prone to dry rot. I 'm not sure I would go for the expense of it . There are pro's and cons .. so measure them against what it is you are really trying to accomplish.
